There are many everyday survival skills that we need to guide us through life, like knowing: which subjects to study, which jobs to apply for, which relationships to nurture and which ones to walk away from. These things help us have a better quality of life.
Then there are the survival skills that literally keep us alive, like knowing: how to navigate without a GPS or maps, how to find fresh drinking water, or knowing what foods are safe to eat.
But how many of us actually know how to do all those things? How many of us rely on guesswork or other people's advice and opinions?
Having good judgement, intuition and discernment is, in my opinion, the most important survival skill of all.
But how do we attain these?
Some people (those often referred to as ‘old souls’) seem to be born with it, but it’s often squashed at a young age by the weight of self-doubt, created from living in a world where popular opinion has become a force similar to gravity’s effect on the tides.
Breaking free from the strong push-pull force of popular opinion is difficult, but it seems to get easier as we age and start caring less about what other people think of us and more about discovering the truth.
Truth is like a compass that helps you navigate through life.
But what is truth? Can you measure it, and if so, how?
Truth is measured against something that doesn’t change, like a universal law.
Mathematics, geometry and music are all languages or expressions that come from universal laws and all three are closely related to one another.
Engineers and builders use mathematics and geometry to create structures that are level and plumb with a set square ruler and level. The ‘universal law’ they use to align their buildings to is the Earth. You could say that a level building is in ‘harmony’ with the Earth.
Musicians tune their instruments to a set standard of frequency, for example 432 Hz, so the music they produce is harmonious to the ear.
Where does harmony come from?
Harmony comes from ‘The Law of Vibration.’ “What is that?” I hear you ask. Well, at a microscopic level, everything is in constant motion, vibrating at a specific frequency - this applies to one's personal frequency as well. This law says that our vibrational frequency can inform our lived experience. If our frequency is coherent and our bodies ‘sing’ in tune (or in resonance) with Nature’s frequencies we experience good health and wellbeing.
Can you learn how to intuit and discern the truth?
The answer is yes, you can. Just like we learn to discern when the ground we are standing on is not level, or the music we are listening to is not harmonious, we can learn to sense when other things are ‘off-kilter.’
The truth is harmonious and it resonates within us like beautiful music and provides a sense of balance and certainty like a level floor.
In this way the truth communicates itself to us through resonance and we experience a deep knowingness.
What is resonance?
Resonance, or sympathethic resonance, is a technology that involves using frequency to communicate over distances.
For example, If you hold two tuning forks that produce the same frequency, one in each hand and you strike one so that it vibrates, the other one will also vibrate even though the two are not touching. That is the power of resonance.
We use resonance all the time in our daily lives. For example, your TV remote and car key fob. These remotes send a precise frequency signature to the receiver unit inside the TV or car to turn it off or on, lock or unlock.
What is a frequency signature?
A frequency signature is like our handwritten signature or fingerprint that identifies us, but it's more than that. A device called a cymascope (which is basically a metal sheet hooked up to an amp) reveals that frequencies also have geometric and mathematical information encoded into them. Nature is created from ‘sacred geometry,’ shapes that form the building blocks of the Universe.
But what has this all got to do with dowsing?
Well, just like the receiver unit in our TV set or car can detect yes/no or on/off instructions from our remote controls that transmit certain frequency signatures, our bodies have a similar capability.
When we say something “sounds true” or “rings true”, this is what we mean. It resonates within us and gives us a certain feeling, a YES response.
What does a YES Response feel like?
A yes response makes you feel really alert and tingly, like receiving a light and pleasant electrocution. The hair on your body stands on end and your pulse races with excitement. It's what I call ‘the goosebump rush.’ It’s the equivalent of ‘ON’ or ‘OPEN’ if you were a machine.
What does a NO response feel like?
In contrast, a ‘NO’ response is often accompanied by a feeling of repulsion or decrease in our physical energy or excitement. It’s the equivalent of ‘OFF’ or ‘CLOSED’ if you were a machine.
Dowsing is a way to train yourself to be more in resonance with the Earth and the universal field (which contains all the universal laws) so we are able to discern the YESs from the NOs.
The more you practise dowsing, the less you need the physical tools like pendulums and rods, because you get used to receiving, decoding and interpreting this information with your own body.
In time, you will also notice that you get more detail than just a Yes or a No.
Experienced dowsers will get a ‘download’ or useful information dump which reveals a lot more about a situation. Some will see the answer in their mind’s eye (clairvoyance), or they will just know (clairsentience). Or they will feel with other sensory information (clairgustance = taste, clairaudience = hearing). Sometimes the dowser will get a download about the future (pre-cognisance) or see a distant location (remote viewing).
Here are some of the many potentially life-saving uses for dowsing..
Optimising health and wellbeing
You can find out which foods, medicines and supplements are most beneficial for you.
By using a pendulum and a technique called chart dowsing you can determine which nutrients you might be deficient in.
You can discover which parts of your biofield (personal energy field) are blocked and in need of clearing before they manifest into physical illnesses.
Dowsing can also help you determine what your most significant stressors or blocks to healing are so you can remedy them and live your best life.
Finding underground water and minerals sources
By combining the use of dowsing rods and a technique called ‘the bracketing method,’ you can locate underground drinking water, determine its depth and yield (how much there is).
You can apply this technique to locate almost anything underground, like minerals, power cables, or to rescue a person buried in an avalanche.
Navigational aid
Because they can rotate 360 degrees like a compass, you can use dowsing rods like a GPS to navigate your way home or to safety.
You can also use dowsing rods to locate energy currents and nodes, which are where energy currents intersect. Nodes are hotspots where energy is amplified and they can harm or heal, depending on the type of energy they carry. A beneficial node can help boost the health and fertility of the land and all creatures living near it. As explained in my dowsing charts book, a non-beneficial node can do the opposite, and even cause cancer.
